Here is a piece I made for the action film. Olympus Has Fallen. This was made for a fan art contest held by the website Talenthouse and although I didn't win I felt like this was a very good design. You can check out some of the other entries, including the winner at their website.

Star Wars Episode VII The Dark Lord

As The Phantom Menace and A New Hope each referred to a character in the film, Senator Palpatine and Luke Skywalker, the title of Episode VII may refer to another. I'm hoping for Darth Plagueis who was discussed in Revenge of the Sith and was formerly Palpatine's master. Darth Plagueis the Wise used the powers of the Dark Side to try and cheat death. I hope he succeeded and returns as the big bad of the new trilogy.

Star Wars Episode VII The Forgotten Enemy

Rumors are indicating that there may be an announcement regarding Episode VII of Star Wars on October 30. Some are speculating we will be getting a title announcement and or video/teaser trailer. I thought it would be fun to throw a couple of more suggestions for titles into the mix before (or if) we find out anything at the end of the month.

Summer Feature: On the Set of Christmas with the Dead

Here is a documentary I made with Daniel May about the film program at Stephen F. Austin State University during the making of "Christmas with the Dead" during the summer of 2011. The film is based on a short story by author Joe Lansdale. This documentary depicts the various jobs on a film set and the students and professionals who do them.

Here's a teaser poster for a feature length film I'm currently in preproduction for. The History of Time Travel will be my thesis project to earn my MFA in Cinematography. The film will be shot this summer and hopefully released in the spring of 2014.

I've started a YouTube web channel for RNK Fan Art and I've launched in with a series of videos called "Movies In Three Shots." I started making these videos for an art class and I found the whole idea really challenging and a lot of fun. I plan to make a many as I can think of.

With the announcement that J.J. Abrams has signed on to direct Star Wars Episode VII I thought it might be time to start making some new Star Wars fan art. I'll start with something simple mock logo for Episode VII. Look for more posters in the near future.
